Zhiben Environmental Protection Technology designed and made a molded pulp box for Tecent, which was used for holding mooncakes during China Mid-autumn Festival. As a socially responsible company, Tencent has also begun to put it into practice, beginning to use environmentally friendly degradable packaging.
The box is made of sugarcane, simple but elegant. This is the box that Tencent uses for holding mooncakes.
Every time you pits the sugarcane, there will be a lot of bagasse left.This box is processed from these bagasse.Certainly it comes from a factory that uses a lot of sugarcane to make sugar.
The bagasse is chopped and mixed with water and other pulp materials to form a slurry. Slurry is poured into the mold,form it into a box and poke a logo and trim off the edges.Then the mooncake box is made.
The whole process uses pure natural materials. No ink, no plastic and no waste water is produced during the process.The trimmed edges that have just been cut off will become egg trays in the supermarket.
